MB Projects assisted the Aurora Museum with strategic advice and exhibition sourcing for the opening of the museum’s new wing in 2020.
The Aurora Museum, inaugurated in October 2013 by the renowned Taiwanese company Aurora, is a private museum designed by Tadao Ando in the iconic Lujiazui district of Shanghai.
Adhering to the Chinese culture of “protection, inheritance, and dedication”, the museum promotes the study of ancient artifacts with the core of “material, technique, form and pattern”, and cooperates with Peking University’s School of Archaeology and Museology. The museum’s collection can be divided into Buddhist Sculptures, Ancient Jade, Ancient Pottery Figures, and Blue-and-white Porcelains.
A second wing opened in 2020, allowing the group to continue giving back to the cultural aspirations of society by hosting high-level exhibitions.
